Frustrated with no longer being allowed to smoke Liga Privada due to short supply, the torcedores at La Gran Fabrica de Tabacos Drew Estate came up with their own blend that uses many of the same rare tobaccos, but of different vintages and primings, as the Liga Privada. The powers that be at Drew Estate were so impressed with the blend they have released it as Liga Undercrown in 2011.

The Liga Undercrown Shady is a full-strength cigar that is hand rolled in Nicaragua. It was produced by Drew Estate to celebrate the founding of Shady Records the record label created by rapper Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg. A dark Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper covers this cigar’s Connecticut Habano binder and blended filler made of Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Liga Undercrown Shady has a natural sweetness that is highlighted with notes of spice.

The youngest sibling in the Liga Undercrown brand, the Undercrown Sungrown follows the release of the original Maduro and the Shade. The Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper on this cigar is sungrown, balanced with stalk-cut binder from the Connecticut River Valley, filler from Nicaragua and one leaf of aged Nicaraguan ligero for extra oomph.
